Replit is betting the company on "vibe coding." The entire operation runs on Google's servers. This is no flirtation. The developer platform already leans hard on Google Cloud.
Now, it's embedding Google's latest Gemini AI models directly into its tools, framing it all as a serious enterprise play. Google Cloud CEO Thomas Kurian states the partnership will push this looser, AI-driven style of software building into big corporations. That single assertion reveals the ambition.
Services such as Google Cloud Run, Google Kubernetes Engine, and BigQuery will continue to support Replit's applications and future scaling needs. Replit's platform already uses multiple Google Cloud services and integrates Gemini models through Vertex AI. As part of the expanded collaboration, Replit now supports Google's latest models, including Gemini 3, Gemini 2.5 Flash Lite, Gemini 2.5 Flash, and Imagen 4 to power coding and multimodal features.
Replit recently rolled out Gemini 3 in its Design mode. Meanwhile, Google also launched Antigravity, its new agentic AI IDE embedded with Gemini 3 models. Thomas Kurian, CEO of Google Cloud, said the expanded partnership will deliver more capabilities to Replit's users through deeper integrations with AI and cloud services and will accelerate the adoption of vibe coding in the enterprise.
Google’s strategy backs two horses. It built its own AI coding tool, Antigravity. Yet it simultaneously fuels Replit, arguably its most credible independent competitor.
The goal is transparent: Google wants to own the foundational plumbing for every flavor of AI-assisted development, no matter who builds the interface. For Replit, this deal transforms an experimental "vibe" into a sanctioned corporate tool.
