Rather than blocking automated traffic outright as a safety or data-protection measure, World suggests sites could instead require AI agents to present an associated World ID token to prove they represent an actual human who's behind any request.
Adoption is everything. No site has to accept this token. World's 18 million orb-verified users merely have a new tool. Whether any major platform—a social network, a bank, a retailer—will ever ask for that proof is the critical, and entirely open, question.
